The elementary education curriculum is designed to equip future teachers with essential skills in instructional approaches, pedagogical methods, and classroom organization to effectively reach students across different learning environments. From their very first semester, participants gain hands-on experience through diverse teaching placements and fieldwork. The School of Education commits to producing job-ready graduates who are fully equipped to thrive in teaching professions.
Upon completing the elementary education program, graduates earn certification to teach grades 1-6 while also specializing in a chosen academic discipline through a 21-credit concentration. Students can select focus areas including but not limited to language arts, social sciences, STEM subjects, physical education, special needs education, technology integration, or other approved academic fields.
