The Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education: Foundations equips students to educate children, including those with special needs and in urban environments. While this program doesn't grant immediate teaching certification, it provides the foundation for entering the Master of Education (MEd)/Initial Licensure program in elementary education, which culminates in Minnesota state teaching credentials. Graduates are also prepared for roles in non-certified educational environments like daycare facilities or youth community initiatives, as well as other fields where a broad liberal arts background is valuable.
