Occasionally, it becomes clear post-college that you overlooked your true vocation. NKU's Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program is designed to transform bachelor's degree holders with subject-matter expertise into exceptional middle school and high school teachers.
The curriculum features 7-week online classes along with several hands-on experiences in P-12 classrooms. Tuition costs $400 per credit hour. You have two completion options: (1) an unpaid internship in a local educator's classroom or (2) employment by a Kentucky school to teach in your certification area (known as Option 6 certification). With Option 6, your practical training may occur in your own classroom.
