Georgetown University's Teacher Residency Program, Learning & Teaching, focuses on educating the complete individual. This includes forming connections with students, refining teaching techniques, acquiring subject-specific teaching knowledge, understanding classroom interactions, cultivating cultural awareness to connect different experiences, and learning how data can enhance teaching methods. The program aims to equip you with both teaching expertise and professional insight to inspire learning for all students. Currently, we provide certification training for teaching English language learners (ESL/ELL) in K-12 environments.

The Master's in Educational Transformation prepares PK-12 educators with cross-disciplinary abilities, emphasizing students' strengths rather than limitations that hinder learning. These skills and an asset-based approach are essential for implementing effective teaching strategies for diverse learners in urban settings. The program fosters the knowledge and mindset needed to drive positive changes in classrooms, schools, and districts, ensuring fair and inclusive education for every child.
