This six-year combined program awards both a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Juris Doctor degree. Prospective students must declare their intent to pursue this accelerated track to the Art History Division. Eligibility requires art history majors to have completed at least 90 undergraduate credit hours while maintaining a minimum 3.25 GPA before applying to NIU's College of Law through this specialized pathway. Applicants must take the LSAT and achieve a score at or above the median of the prior year's entering law class. It's recommended that students complete their LSAT and submit law school applications by February of their junior year. Admission is competitive, with decisions based on the applicant pool's size and qualifications, general law school application trends, and standard admissions criteria used by the College of Law.
