Our Justice Studies courses equip students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge to confront modern criminal justice issues. The specialized skills emphasized in each concentration (Criminal Justice Administration or Intelligence Studies) are carefully chosen to help students excel as criminal justice professionals and leaders, improve career prospects, and for Intelligence Studies majors, prepare for roles in the intelligence sector.

Justice Studies majors focusing on Criminal Justice Administration will gain the qualifications needed for diverse criminal justice careers. Current professionals can use this concentration to advance into leadership roles or specialized positions.

Those specializing in Intelligence Studies will develop the expertise required for careers in criminal justice with a focus on intelligence and homeland security. Individual program admission requirements over and above admission to NAU are required.

To be admitted into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Justice Studies you must have:
completed or be in the process of completing JUS 110 and JUS 120 or their equivalent.
an associate's degree, either completed or in progress, at a regionally accredited institution and the associate's degree must be completed prior to the awarding of the BAS degree.

Individual program admission requirements over and above admission to NAU are required.

To be admitted into a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) plan, you must have an associate degree, either completed or in progress, from a regionally accredited institution and the associate degree must be completed prior to the awarding of the BAS degree.

The associate's degree major or emphasis may be in any field within 10 years of your application to Northern Arizona University.

An Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) is required if you attended an Arizona Community College and must be completed prior to NAU degree completion.

All transcripts and mark sheets must be submitted in English.
We require a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (GPA) for first year and transfer students.
Transfer students who have earned 24 or more credits at an American post-secondary institution only need to submit that transcript as part of their application. A high school transcript is not required.
NAU accepts transcript evaluations from members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) as part of the evaluation process. However, the result of a transcript evaluation does not guarantee that transfer credits will be awarded. All transcripts from post-secondary institutions in Nigeria must be evaluated from members of the NACES services. IELTS 6, TOEFL - 70 iBT and iBT Home Edition.
