Students pursuing the LLM degree can specialize in Intellectual Property and Innovation. This program is tailored for legal professionals with background or passion in dynamic technology and creative sectors, equipping them for diverse practice areas such as advisory services, transactions, disputes, and policymaking. Graduates serve clients ranging from emerging startups to multinational corporations managing worldwide IP assets, as well as individual creators and government agencies. The specialization mandates completion of four IP-focused courses: two from the core curriculum and two additional selections from either core or related offerings (see course list below). International LLM candidates specializing in Intellectual Property and Innovation must complete three foundational courses: Legal Research, Legal Writing I and II, plus Introduction to the US Legal System. These provide essential knowledge and skills for thriving in American legal education and international legal practice.
