The joint linguistics and speech-language pathology/audiology major offers students comprehensive training in language structure, analytical techniques for linguistic data, vocal tract biology and physics, plus studies of typical and atypical speech and language development. This program fosters critical analysis, research proficiency, and advanced verbal/written expression abilities. During cooperative education placements, participants acquire hands-on clinical exposure, including preparatory experience for graduate studies in SLPA, allied health professions, or educational fields.
