The program's curriculum outlines the essential courses needed to earn a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at this institution. Completing this undergraduate track or an equivalent program is mandatory before pursuing a Master of Science in Communicative Disorders. To obtain a professional license in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), a master's degree is necessary, while a doctoral degree in Audiology (AUD) is required for audiology licensure. All undergraduate students follow the same course of study, whether they aim to become audiologists, speech-language pathologists, or pursue alternative careers. The major requires thirteen core courses. Note that the B.S. degree alone does not authorize graduates to practice as Speech-Language Pathologists or Audiologists. However, B.S. graduates can explore related roles such as teacher's aides, classroom assistants, child development specialists, or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants with supplementary internship experience. Furthermore, this degree provides excellent groundwork for graduate studies in special education, general education, rehabilitation counseling, and similar disciplines.
