Bachelor's Degree
The Mechanical Engineering Department provides advanced degree programs culminating in either a Master of Science (M.S.) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Students can specialize in diverse fields such as engineering mechanics, fatigue and fracture analysis, biomechanics and biomaterials, thermal systems design, fluid dynamics, energy systems, control engineering and mechatronics, or materials science with a focus on polymers, composites, and nanomaterials.
For the Ph.D. curriculum, students must complete 90 graduate credit hours post-bachelor's degree (or 60 credits after obtaining a master's degree).
