This discipline necessitates familiarity with key physics domains including mechanics, thermodynamics, elasticity theory, and electromagnetism, while contemporary materials science relies on quantum physics comprehension. Consequently, there is increasing need for engineers possessing interdisciplinary education that blends foundational physics understanding with hands-on troubleshooting abilities. The dual major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics enables undergraduates to fulfill essential coursework for both disciplines within a standard four-year curriculum. Program graduates will possess distinctive qualifications suitable for industrial, governmental, and academic careers, or for advanced studies in engineering, physics, and related technical areas. Participants will receive a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.) with an additional major in physics.
