The standard Master of Statistics program can be finished in just one year with full-time enrollment, though part-time study options are available for those who prefer a more flexible schedule.
This program focuses on building a strong grounding in core statistical disciplines, including survey methodology and experimental design. It's particularly well-suited for professionals serving as the sole statistician in cross-functional teams. Students pursuing a Master of Statistics can specialize in various focus areas. Alongside the general track, specialization options include Biomedical Statistics, Environmental Statistics, Statistical Genetics, and Financial Statistics. These concentrations primarily differ in their required course selections, particularly elective offerings. While students may opt for the Master of Science pathway, currently most choose not to, as it involves completing a thesis requirement.
