Concentrating on practical statistics, this curriculum equips you to tackle challenges through hands-on applications in fields like ecology, biostatistics, industrial engineering, and computer science, providing a competitive edge in employment opportunities. The University of Rhode Island's Master of Science in Statistics offers a contemporary two-year graduate program focused on statistical methodologies. Recently, our program has expanded, drawing students from various nations, diverse backgrounds, and with wide-ranging research pursuits. Unlike comparable master's programs, we maintain an exceptional student-to-faculty ratio (2:1), enabling more individualized mentorship and support from instructors. Learners can tailor their academic path by selecting either a thesis or non-thesis track during application, with the flexibility to change this decision later.
