The Community Health Science and Practice specialization in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences equips you to work cooperatively in designing, executing, and assessing initiatives and policies that foster community wellness and health equality.
You'll gain skills to evaluate health challenges across varied demographic groups both domestically and internationally, enabling you to create and administer public health initiatives that enhance wellbeing and decrease disparities. Your studies will involve applying a socio-ecological approach to community-level intervention methods, along with examining social, cultural, economic, environmental, and organizational influences on health outcomes in diverse communities.
Upon completing the Community Health Science and Practice program, you'll be ready to assume leadership positions in public health organizations worldwide.
