This collaborative initiative brings together NYU Stern and the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at Tisch School of the Arts. As the most extensive program of its type, it leverages the finest faculty and resources from both institutions to create graduates highly valued by leading film studios, independent production houses, and major television networks and studios. The dual MBA/MFA degree can be finished in three years - significantly shorter than the typical four years required to complete both degrees separately. Students begin their first year at NYU Stern, transition to Kanbar for the second year, and divide their final year between both programs. The three-year curriculum includes two summer sessions, with the first academic year at Stern, the second at Kanbar, and the third year shared between both institutions. Summer terms focus on fulfilling Kanbar's degree requirements. Enrollment for MBA/MFA candidates alternates between Kanbar and NYU Stern based on where students complete most of their coursework each semester.
