The Dramaturgy Program emphasizes practical production experience and teamwork within creative ensembles. Each year, you'll contribute to at least one production while benefiting from personalized faculty guidance. Beyond production work, the weekly Dramaturgy Workshop introduces diverse methodologies for developing essential skills—including translation, adaptation, scriptwriting, analytical critique, and other key dramaturgical competencies.

This intensive training equips you to tackle the artistic and intellectual demands of professional theater leadership, shaping tomorrow's theatrical landscape.

Students enjoy the added advantage of accessing courses across the Five Colleges consortium to pursue specialized interests.

The program culminates in your third year with an original thesis project that synthesizes your learning.
