Our Master of Arts in Arts Politics delivers an immersive one-year program that broadens horizons in cultural creation. We deeply examine the intersection of critical thought and artistic practice through close engagement with activists, artists, theorists, and curators from varied fields. The curriculum includes five foundational courses within the Art & Public Policy Department alongside numerous university-wide electives. This adaptable structure empowers students to craft unique trajectories blending creativity, scholarship, and career growth while fostering collaborative discovery. Theory coursework establishes essential conceptual foundations in Arts Politics, while Methods and Criticism classes help students build analytical approaches relevant to their personal projects and post-graduate aspirations. The fall Graduate Colloquium and diverse electives throughout the year enable students to refine their investigative approaches. Participants choose one departmental elective plus three additional graduate-level courses from across the university's offerings.
