Get ready for an academic role in comparative and international education, or pursue a career as an educator in global and cross-cultural environments. Design a customized curriculum focused on a specific world region, with opportunities for international study, alongside specialized coursework in research methodologies, social sciences or humanities, globalization trends, and education policy. Note that the International Education PhD program won't be considering full-time applicants with Steinhardt Fellowships for Fall 2024 enrollment (beginning Fall 2025). Part-time enrollment applications remain welcome, though please be aware that part-time students traditionally don't qualify for Steinhardt Fellowship support.
The International Development Education track equips you for research, teaching, and professional roles within government bodies, NGOs, and philanthropic organizations that deliver educational support to developing nations to foster sustainable economic progress
