The Cognition & Perception Program covers various psychology subfields including perception, attention, memory, categorization, language, emotion, decision-making, development, motor control, and cognitive neuroscience. This program operates across two locations: NYU's New York campus and its Abu Dhabi campus. Our faculty directory shows which professors are based at each location. Doctoral candidates at NYU New York usually complete a five-year program involving coursework and research in New York. For NYU Abu Dhabi Ph.D. students, the first two years mainly involve New York-based studies with periodic trips to Abu Dhabi, during which they finish coursework and conduct research with advisors from both campuses.
