The Department's goal is to train public health professionals for service in communities throughout New Mexico and other U.S. regions. Housed within the College of Health and Social Services (CHSS), it plays a vital part in advancing NMSU's land-grant commitment to community service and engagement, particularly in enhancing health outcomes for diverse rural, border, and tribal populations statewide.
