Environmental health studies focus on predicting, identifying, assessing, and creating systems to manage exposures in workplace or environmental contexts that could potentially harm human health. The UC MPH Environmental Public Health program offers instruction in core toxicology principles, communicable diseases, risk evaluation, policy formulation, public health advocacy, and practical application. Graduates are equipped for careers across public health sectors, including roles at organizations such as the Environmental Protection Agency, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, various health departments (local and state), CDC, non-profit organizations, and private sector companies.
