The Chemistry Ph.D. program covers key specializations including analytical, inorganic, organic, physical chemistry, and biochemistry. This graduate curriculum equips students with contemporary chemistry and biochemistry knowledge (through coursework), research-based problem-solving techniques, and professional communication abilities (via seminars and colloquia). To earn their doctorate, students must fulfill all course requirements, pass a first-year qualifying exam, complete written and oral comprehensive exams before year four, and successfully defend their dissertation in a final oral examination.
