UC Davis's Chemistry and Chemical Biology Graduate Program enjoys global recognition, covering the entire spectrum of the field from analytical to theoretical chemistry. With more than 200 graduate researchers, the program spans six specializations: analytical chemistry, chemical biology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and chemical physics. We foster interdisciplinary graduate research by collaborating with faculty from diverse campus units, including the School of Medicine, College of Engineering, College of Biological Sciences, and the Genome Center. Ph.D. candidates benefit from a competitive stipend, fully covered tuition and fees, and extensive health insurance.
Our program provides the tools to develop as an autonomous researcher and build a thriving professional path. Over 200 graduate students conduct investigations across our six core disciplines: analytical, chemical biology, inorganic, organic, physical, and chemical physics. We promote boundary-crossing research initiatives through partnerships with faculty from various campus divisions, including the School of Medicine, College of Engineering, College of Biological Sciences, and the Genome Center.
