Every accomplished attorney relies on a skilled paralegal specialist who possesses the necessary expertise to maintain seamless operations. If you're captivated by the U.S. legal system and aspire to contribute meaningfully, National University's Paralegal Specialist Certificate can equip you for a dynamic and sought-after profession.
NU provides three specialized certificate options in corporate law, criminal law, or litigation, allowing you to align your studies with your interests. Whichever track you select, you'll develop diverse abilities—from case research and fact-finding to composing or condensing reports that assist attorneys in trial preparation.
Every certificate program is designed to incorporate instruction in legal analysis, document preparation, and procedural comprehension. Approved by the American Bar Association, this program is available both online and at Los Angeles-area campuses.
Note that paralegals cannot offer legal services directly to clients unless authorized by law. Enrollment requires completion of a minimum of nine semester credits (or equivalent) in legal specialty courses through synchronous learning.
