Exercise Science is an interdisciplinary field that integrates scientific principles from anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, psychology, motor control, and biomechanics to study human body functions during physical activity and its adaptations to exercise. The program equips students with skills in fitness assessment, exercise program development, and teaching proper movement techniques. Those pursuing the Exercise Science undergraduate degree must select between two specializations: Sports Conditioning or Clinical and Pre-Professional Studies.
The Clinical and Pre-Professional Studies track in Exercise Science aims to ready students for clinical careers or advanced academic programs. This concentration emphasizes building essential knowledge and competencies needed for allied health professions and graduate-level professional education.
