Kinesiology is a field of study examining physical movement and its effects on wellbeing, community, and daily living. Our faculty bring extensive instructional background, research knowledge, and dedication to helping others, creating valuable educational opportunities in all departmental programs. The Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology offers two specializations: one for physical education teacher certification in Texas, and another focused on sports administration with concentrations in coaching, youth athletics, and leadership development. All undergraduate majors complete a shared set of core kinesiology classes, establishing essential knowledge in human anatomy, movement mechanics, and physiological responses to exercise. Students graduate ready to become engaged practitioners who can positively influence the health of those they serve, no matter their chosen career path.
