The general anthropology bachelor's program, leading to a B.A. degree, equips students for graduate studies that can open doors to academic positions, museum careers, research opportunities, and various professional paths outside academia. This flexible major offers an outstanding liberal arts foundation that students can tailor to diverse career aspirations. Practical internship experiences allow students to gain valuable workplace skills. The program also offers an Anthropology major with Elementary Education Certification, preparing graduates to teach kindergarten through 6th grade in New Jersey's public school system.
To earn the bachelor's degree, students must complete 120 credits while maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and a 2.0 GPA in their major coursework.
