The Master of Architecture program spans three semesters, totaling 42 credit hours of graduate coursework. Students participate in diverse studio experiences, mandatory technical classes, and elective options that foster critical thinking about architectural design and environmental considerations. This professional degree follows Plan C guidelines, requiring either a final paper or project. The curriculum features three core studios, three compulsory courses, and 14 elective credits selected by each student. Official transcripts (one of which must have a conferred degree posted) reflecting all undergraduate and/or post-baccalaureate study. Applicants who are alumni of MSU do not need to submit their transcripts.
An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale). Applicants with post-baccalaureate experience must have a graduate GPA of at least 3.00.
Up to three (3) letters of reference.
Three (3) Year Bachelor's Degrees: MSU accepts a three year Bachelor's degree from applicants. You are welcome to submit an application which will be reviewed by the department to determine whether you are a strong enough candidate to be admitted. If admitted, you may be asked to take some undergraduate courses at the start of your graduate degree at MSU to strengthen your background
