Students enrolled in the Master of Architecture program gain expertise in architectural design history, theory, and methods while cultivating professional skills and analytical abilities to innovate within the field.

Our MArch curriculum emphasizes experiential learning through investigation, testing, and discovery. The program blends project-oriented design studios addressing contemporary themes with technical instruction in structural systems, professional methodologies, construction technologies, and elective studies in architectural history and theory. MArch candidates are urged to broaden their practice by enrolling in cross-departmental courses at SAIC and participating in AIADO's External Partnership offerings. During their culminating year, students undertake an intensive comprehensive studio and develop an independent thesis project with guidance from department faculty.
