The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in mathematics is awarded upon demonstrating mastery of mathematical concepts and the capacity for autonomous research in mathematical sciences, as evidenced by a completed doctoral thesis. Candidates must prove their expertise in three distinct mathematical fields by passing coursework and comprehensive written exams. The minimum requirements to be considered for admission are a B.S. degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or its equivalent from a foreign institution, and an overall grade-point average of 3.0 (B) in your most recent two years of study.
