After earning a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics, graduates will possess the ability to: Tackle complex problems using sophisticated fundamental knowledge. Develop and execute independent research initiatives. Communicate with professional clarity through both written and oral presentations. The Computational and Applied Mathematics Department provides both master's and doctoral programs, with thesis requirements for each. The MA program often serves as a pathway to the PhD, though students aiming for doctoral studies should apply directly to the CAAM PhD program. Additionally, the department offers MCAAM and MCSE degrees for those pursuing technical careers in business or industry. Typically, students complete their master's in two years, followed by two to four additional years for doctoral studies.
