The Energy Certificate is available to both undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at MSU with satisfactory academic standing. Tailored for engineering students aiming for careers in energy sectors, this program incorporates coursework from various MSU engineering disciplines along with a mandatory class on renewable energy solutions. Graduates of the Energy Certificate program will gain specialized knowledge in energy engineering within their chosen field while also developing a cross-disciplinary understanding of sustainable energy principles.

By finishing the Energy Certificate, participants will accomplish these educational objectives:

Gained awareness and broader insight into energy-related challenges.
Acquired advanced technical proficiency in specific energy domains.
Established foundational knowledge about renewable energy alternatives.
The Energy Certificate Committee evaluates applicants' academic records to verify fulfillment of all course and grade prerequisites. Upon approval, the committee forwards qualified candidates' names to the Engineering Dean for official recognition. Degree-seeking students receive their Energy Certificate upon graduating from MSU, with the Dean informing the Registrar's Office of program completion (this requirement does not apply to international exchange students).
