Students who earn this associate degree will fulfill the lower-division prerequisites for a criminal justice or criminology major, including any specialized concentrations within these programs, or similar degrees at participating California State University (CSU) institutions. After transferring to an eligible CSU campus, graduates will need to complete a maximum of 60 additional units to earn their bachelor's degree, though some campuses may require extra lower-division coursework. This degree may not suit students planning to transfer to non-participating CSU campuses or institutions outside the CSU system. Completing this program prepares graduates for advanced academic work, seamless transfer to CSU bachelor's programs, and entry-level roles in criminal justice professions.
