This program enables students to explore profound mathematical concepts while relating them to classroom teaching. Participants enroll in Real Analysis and Abstract Algebra, courses that expand upon and generalize fundamental principles from arithmetic, algebra, and calculus. Additionally, all students complete Algebraic Structures in School Mathematics and Geometric Structures in School Mathematics, which directly bridge advanced mathematical theory with K-12 curriculum content.
Our mathematics education department features faculty specializing in data analysis, geometry, rational numbers, numerical understanding, and algebra across K-16 education, with teaching experience spanning middle schools, high schools, and colleges both domestically and in Taiwan. The faculty focuses on helping practicing educators shift from teaching K-12 mathematics to studying higher-level mathematical concepts.
