The Master of Science in Mathematics offers comprehensive training to equip students for doctoral studies or professional roles in academia and industry. This program includes both thesis and non-thesis tracks. Candidates must complete 15 credits in 6600-level mathematics courses, featuring two year-long sequences. A written exam on one 6600-level sequence is mandatory. Thesis-track students must also submit and defend an expository or research thesis, earning 6 credits through MATH 6650. Non-thesis candidates must pass a final oral examination covering all courses in their curriculum.
