The State of Minnesota provides science teaching certification covering grades 5-8 general science, along with 9-12 specialties in Chemistry, Earth Science, Life Science, and Physics. Graduates from Minnesota State Mankato with degrees in Earth Science Teaching, Life Science Teaching, or Physics Teaching will be eligible for dual licensure: (1) 5-8 general science and (2) their 9-12 specialization. Chemistry Teaching graduates will receive certification solely for 9-12 Chemistry instruction.
