Unsure which engineering field to choose? That's perfectly fine. You'll have opportunities to explore every option. All engineering students at Michigan Tech complete the same foundational courses and select their major after two or three semesters. Before committing to a career direction, you'll gain exposure to all engineering disciplines. During this process, you'll develop essential skills for achievement. As part of the first-year engineering curriculum, students participate in Engineering Explorations events hosted by various engineering departments. These explorations help students verify their interest in their selected major. For undecided students, these sessions offer a chance to make a well-informed choice about their specialization.
