The Graduate Specialization in Media and Information Studies, offered through the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, enables students to engage in advanced academic work preparing them for teaching or research careers in advertising, journalism, public relations, telecommunications, information studies, or media. This specialization serves as an optional component for students pursuing master's or doctoral degrees at Michigan State University. Courses counting toward the specialization may fulfill degree requirements upon approval from the student's home department and college. Prospective participants should meet with the specialization's graduate advisor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences.
