Bioethics is an interdisciplinary domain examining moral challenges in medicine, health policy, and life sciences. It encompasses not just clinical ethics but also explores research ethics, population health ethics, worldwide health ethics, along with certain dimensions of ecological and nutritional ethics. The medical field presents numerous philosophical dilemmas worth exploring. Our mission involves defining the nature of health and medical services (medical epistemology) while determining their ideal forms (medical ethics). This pursuit involves collaboration with experts across health humanities disciplines, patients, and community stakeholders to promote ethical healthcare practices. Since medical practice is significantly shaped by legislative health policies, this intersects with core questions of social and political philosophy concerning freedom, fairness, and distributive justice in healthcare access. Furthermore, profound metaphysical questions arise - from determining personhood in early-stage embryos to defining the precise boundaries of death.
