Public Health is an academic discipline dedicated to preventing disease and enhancing wellbeing across individuals, communities, and populations. Miami University's Public Health program leverages institutional strengths in three key domains: Disease Epidemiology, Health Policy Management, and Wellness Promotion. This interdisciplinary program operates through a collaboration between the College of Education, Health and Society and the College of Arts and Science. The curriculum includes foundational public health coursework alongside specialized tracks. This versatile field offers numerous career pathways, including disease prevention specialists, community health advocates, environmental health experts, policy advisors, healthcare administrators, and health educators. The program also serves as excellent preparation for professional healthcare programs (medicine, dentistry, veterinary studies) or advanced public health degrees.
