The Biology and Chemistry Departments collaborate to provide a combined Bachelor of Science program in Chemistry and Biology, emphasizing the overlap between these disciplines, particularly in biochemistry and chemical biology. This program establishes robust fundamentals in both fields while allowing students to customize their studies through elective courses that align with their interests at the biology-chemistry interface. Participants benefit from dual departmental membership and receive guidance from two faculty advisors—one from each department.
This interdisciplinary degree equips graduates for diverse career paths requiring expertise in both chemistry and biology, such as pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, or advanced studies in biochemistry, molecular biology, and chemical biology. The program also serves as excellent preparation for medical school and other health-related professions, whether in clinical practice or research settings.
The first-year application is intended for students who have concluded their secondary education and wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree as a full-time university student.
