The Integrative Organismal Biology (IOB) specialization emphasizes mastering core disciplines that form the basis of organismal studies: anatomy, physiology, behavior, and biodiversity, along with elective courses in integrative biology. Learners can choose to specialize in animal studies, plant sciences, or a blend of both. This IOB track equips students for advanced research in organismal biology areas (including physiology, botany, zoology, evolution, ecology, and behavior) as well as professional programs like veterinary medicine or occupational/physical therapy. Beyond fulfilling core coursework, IOB students can explore diverse offerings in physiology, anatomy, and biodiversity studies.
