Madonna University's combined Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP/FNP) specialization within the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares advanced practice nurses to deliver empathetic healthcare to adult and elderly patients across diverse medical environments.
With a focus on family-oriented care, program graduates gain expertise in thoroughly evaluating, identifying, and addressing both sudden illnesses and ongoing health issues throughout patients' lives and various stages of illness. This distinctive dual-degree approach additionally equips them to handle severe, urgent, and complicated medical situations affecting older patients.
Applicants are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a program accredited by a nursing professional accreditation agency, i.e., CCNE or ACEN, with an overall undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Current unencumbered Michigan RN license, or eligibility for same.
Internet based TOEFL (iBT, Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80; or
TOEFL paper-and-pencil test with a minimum score of 550, accompanied by the Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5; or
IELTS score of 6.5+; or
PTE Academic score of 53
