Ideal for licensed counselors, therapists, or those in health/human services seeking to expand their expertise, the certificate opens doors to diverse career paths - from private practice to hospice care roles like bereavement specialists, social workers, or chaplains.
Bachelor's degree holders can pursue this graduate-level certificate through our Graduate School Admissions Office. Our faculty view grief as a potentially transformative journey, where healing emerges through safe environments, validation, meaningful connections, and renewed engagement with oneself and community.
 
Admission to the graduate certificate program is determined on the basis of the following:
1. Possession of a bachelor degree from a regionally-accredited institution with an overall grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Official transcripts from colleges and universities attended.
3. Two completed recommendation forms from supervisors, undergraduate faculty, or professional associates.
4. A curriculum vitae or resume.
5. Completed Interview with program director.
