Rooted in classical traditions, our communication program explores the influential nature of rhetoric and its significance in democratic systems. You'll cultivate ethical communication skills while becoming an engaged citizen through coursework focused on: effective public presentations, collaborative work, compelling persuasion, logical argument development, and critical analysis.
The curriculum investigates how individuals employ both spoken and unspoken cues to craft messages and establish understanding. You'll develop expertise in evaluating interactions across personal, organizational, and media environments.
This Communication Studies BA program offers comprehensive training for professional careers (in both corporate and nonprofit sectors) or advanced academic pursuits. Students can specialize in one of three tracks: public advocacy, mass communication, or corporate communication.
