This intensive nine-month Master of Medical Sciences (MAMS) program requires full-time commitment, with classes conducted at Loyola's Lake Shore Campus on Chicago's North Side.

Qualification Requirements

A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on all Undergraduate, Post-Baccalaureate or Graduate study. Applications with cumulative GPAs below the minimum will not be reviewed and exceptions will not be made.
MCAT:
Minimum score 500 in confidence bands.
GRE:
Scores must be in the 75% in Verbal Reasoning and at least 50% in Quantitative Reasoning rankings.
PA-CAT:

Scores must be at the 50% percentile or above in all four subject groups. Official Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended Students should provide a detailed account of their extracurricular experiences. Discuss any clinical, employment, teaching, leadership and research experiences along with a brief description of what was learned from each experience. Students are required to submit a Personal Statement and a Statement of Purpose, two separate essays, onto one document. The Personal Statement is to convey the student's motivation for becoming a physician and shares experiences that have contributed to their decision, and is typically expressed in 1.5-2 double spaced pages. The Statement of Purpose explains the student's career goals and why they think they are a good fit for MAMS, and can be expressed in one paragraph. Please combine both the Personal Statement and the Statement of Purpose onto one document and submit along with your application in slate. Students must provide two letters of recommendation appropriate for medical school or the committee letter written by their undergraduate institution. An applicant for admission must ordinarily hold (or receive prior to matriculation) a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. In addition, because academic qualifications are of major importance, the applicant ordinarily must have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. If you have non-U.S. educational credentials, you are required to submit your official education credentials (e.g., transcripts, mark sheets, degree certificates, graduation diplomas) and evaluation fee directly to any NACES member companies.

For the TOEFL, a minimum score of 79 on the iBT or a 550 on the written test is required.
For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 is required.
