Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies (IPS) offers a Master of Arts in Christian Spirituality designed to equip students for contemporary personal and social challenges through intentional, integrated living while enriching their understanding of divinity and identity. Rooted in Ignatian wisdom, the program bridges reflection with engagement, cultivating a spirituality and formation process anchored in one's direct connection with the divine. The Spiritual Direction Concentration allows MA candidates to specialize in developing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on abilities for guiding others in their faith journeys and divine relationships. As spiritual companions, directors support individuals in their personal growth toward spiritual wholeness. Participants gain distinctive training in applying Ignatius of Loyola's Spiritual Exercises within spiritual guidance contexts, providing accompaniment shaped by Jesuit principles and worldview.
