The Department of Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness provides Master of Science programs with three specialization tracks: Agribusiness Management, Natural Resource and Environmental Policy, and Agricultural Economics (refer to Tables 1-3 in the Graduate Student Handbook). Each track allows students to choose between a thesis-based research path or a non-thesis alternative.
The non-thesis M.S. pathway equips students with comprehensive professional preparation through rigorous coursework, ideal for careers in either private industry or government agencies.
Non-thesis M.S. candidates must complete 36 credit hours, with a minimum of 18 credits from 7000-level or higher courses. Note that research assistantships are unavailable for students pursuing the non-thesis option.
