Participants help coordinate LSU's Biennial Music Colloquium and, as a capstone to their teaching assistant roles, lead courses as primary instructors. Through LSU's Music Forum, they engage with renowned scholars nationwide, including recent visitors like J. Peter Burkholder, Ellen T. Harris, James Hepokoski, Thomas J. Mathiesen, Simon Morrison, Rob Wegman, and Susan Youens. Students actively contribute to the American Musicological Society and its thriving AMS-S chapter. With a dynamic concert scene both on and off campus, students can further explore their musical performance passions.
