Welcome to the Graduate Program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at LIU Brooklyn (referred to as The Graduate Program). Our CSD Department is dedicated to advancing the study of human communication sciences and disorders within a culturally and linguistically diverse environment. This New York State Department of Education-registered program awards a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, meeting ASHA's requirements for the CCC-CLP and qualifying graduates for New York State SLP licensure. Students can also pursue certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) during their studies. Those proficient in another language may additionally qualify for a Bilingual Extension certification, preparing them to assist bilingual individuals or those who speak languages other than English.
